Accreditation for BNDES.
The Government, through BNDES (National Bank for Social Development), uses many strategies and incentives for companies to produce their equipment in Brazil, aiming to create jobs and move the local industry.
Let’s understand the Product Nationalization Index and how it's calculated. BNDES has some credit lines for machines and equipment purchase with low-interest rates (TJLP + SPREAD), however, some of these can only be used to purchase machinery and equipment produced within the country, or with at least a stipulated percentage. FINAME is a well-known line of credit that has low-interest rates, a grace period, and a long term for payment.
This is where the Nationalization Index comes in, which enables the company to have access to credit lines and the right to participate in these bids.
What is the Nationalization Index? It is an index stipulated by the government in which a particular product or equipment must have a percentage produced in Brazil
